Do you like the new blog design? I sure do. All I did was change a few settings, but it is a refreshing change, if you ask me.
Well, hard financial times have befallen the Willis household. The whole "nobody who lives here has a job" thing is really starting to put a dent in our bank account. Who knew? Okay, we saw it coming, but it's still a bit stressful.
But you know what? Some really amazing things have happened lately. Like friends and family sending money. Lots of money. Shocking amounts of money, when you consider how much we had to start with (which was about zero, by the way). All I have to say is, God is good. He is making a way where there wasn't one.
So we paid our mortgage this month. Solomon gets to start preschool at Judson Baptist Church next week (yay!!). Our electricity will continue to flow. We get to eat.
We are taken care of.
And we are happy!
I love the new background. What did you change? Our blog needs some updating -
ReplyDeleteand believe me. I understand about the poor thing. This too shall pass! and it's always worth it in the end.
Love you guys. Bethany
Very upbeat wall paper! And very upbeat blog post too. :) Makes me think of our 2 room (yes, 2 room, not 2 bedroom) house on Dominion Farm in Ellensburg. Jim would bring home fish from the irrigation ditches and I would run out on the road every time a corn truck drove by and hit the big bump - to pick up several ears of corn that fell out of the truck ... We ate some kind of peculiar meals, but never actually starved. I'm delighted you're doing so well! Hang on! Only 9 more months. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is always incredible to see how God uses the hard times to make himself more clear to us...I am often grateful for his mercy!
ReplyDeleteOnce again, it was good to see you the other day, and am looking forward to seeing you again soon!!
What a sweet post, Karen. I didn't know Peter was out of work, but it sounds like still work. Hopefully he's getting paid now for all those hours. Anyway, cute background, too, and thanks for sharing!!
